Oh what a week!  Thanks for coming out at the Junction Arts Festival.  We hope that you had as much as fun as we did :)

To all the families, we will be sending out an e-mail or  a call back to you all this week.  We’re hoping this week we’ll have some developments regarding our licensing.

If you have any questions, do drop us a line at 416–645-0648 or via e-mail at jhpbas@gmail.com

Have a great week!

We’re still here :)   To date, we have passed our Municipal Licensing and just awaiting for the final inspection from the Ministry of Children & Youth Services.  Hopefully, we’ll get licensed soon so we can welcome all our kids :)

The other good news is, the Junction Arts Festival kicks-off tonight with celebrations lasting until Sunday, Sept. 13th.  Street closures begin this Saturday morning.  We will have a booth so come by and say hello.  There will be goodies for everyone :)

OPEN HOUSE will be on Saturday, Sept. 12th and Sunday, Sept. 13th.  Staff will gladly give you a tour and an idea of what our Program looks like.  Doors open at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5pm.  You can reach us at our new phone number (416) 645-0648

The Centre has become a reality but not without the help of a few good people:

  • Special thanks to Craig Midghall for overseeing the transformation of our spot from office space to a cool kid’s hang-out.
  • Warm welcome goes out to Tara Johnson, our (ECE) teacher.  We like her already – I’m sure the kids will too!
  • Special shout-out goes to all of our families and friends, who in one way or the other have contributed to the fruition of our vision.  Without you, we wouldn’t have made it this far.

We’d love to show-off the Centre to everyone.  Come out to the Junction Arts Festival this weekend for a great time with the community.  See you soon!

Spread the Word!

Welcome, Summer!  Finally, Summer has arrived in Toronto :)   I bet everyone has planned out how they’ll spend the next couple of months.  We at the Centre are busy getting ready for September.  We do have a variety of programs that we’re looking into offering the kids.  Can’t wait til then!

I’ve been asked by families about Summer Camp ~ especially with the City workers’ ongoing strike, which means closing off some daycares and recreation centres, along with summer camp offerings.  So let us know if you are one of many families that have been affected by the City Strike and would require childcare by commenting below.

We’ll be distributing this flier shortly.  Let us know how we can be of help :)

Flier-back

Would you like us to offer a particular activity?  Are you a school outside of the Junction-High Park area and think would benefit with the after-school bus pick-up?  Let us know ~ vote on the polls below and drop us a line!

Thank you for coming!

We’d like to express our thanks and gratitude to all the families that took their time to check us out last Saturday.  It was great finally meeting up face to face and be able to show you around our Centre.  As I’ve mentioned repeatedly, the Centre is a work in progress and we will have another Open House sometime in August to welcome all the families for school year 2009-2010.  By that time, all the rooms would be retrofitted and ready for the children to occupy.

Feel free to post any questions and suggestions and we’ll be happy to respond to those.  Have a safe and fun summer and we’ll see you in August :)

Just a quick note to say that our Open House is this Saturday, June 13th from 10am – 2pm.  We are located at 2968 Dundas St. West, Suite 305.  Help us spread the word!  If your family is enrolled at any of the schools listed in our poll and require childcare this coming school year, then don’t miss out :)

This is a chance to meet everyone at the Centre.  We will have a short presentation of what our program looks like.  There will be games and fun activities for the kids and of course snacks for everyone.

Please excuse our appearance as we prepare to be fully operational in September.  We will definitely have another Open House sometime in August to welcome everyone to the Centre before the school year begins.  Let us know if you can come by commenting below.

We look forward to seing your family this Saturday!

You asked and we listened :)

We are in the process of securing a bus so we can reach out to more schools in and around the Junction-High Park area.  I’d like to ask you all to take a moment to complete the survey below so we can have a sense as to how many children are coming from which schools.  If we do proceed with making the bus service available, we will be going to the schools mentioned in the survey.  Don’t be left out!  Answer the quick survey below and be counted.

Our Open House is tentatively set for Saturday – June 13, 2009 from 10am-2pm.

Thanks for stopping by!
